My thrifty finds, junk-shop treasures and vintage discoveries

17 Jun

Charity shops, junk emporiums and second-hand stores, I love them all. I could, and do, while away whole afternoons browsing dusty old objects in the hope of finding
a hidden gem in amongst them. I’ve been what Americans call thrifting for about five years now, and in that time, I’ve picked up lots of random things from vintage dresses, clutch bags, belts and necklaces, to glass cake stands, 60s lamps and
even a tartan chair with Rod Stewart stitched on it!

So, as well as the more regular Conversation Pieces, I’m going to start posting my finds. On the whole they’ll be things you can’t buy, but they might give you some inspiration for things to look for yourself. Or you can let me know if you have something similar – maybe we have the other half of each other’s stuff!
