Just what you need for your coffee table… a book of vaguely depressing pipe cleaner chick dioramas. Ok, so that doesn’t sound fun but just take a look at the extracts below from Sloane Tanen‘s genius books Bitter With Baggage Seeks Same and Going For Bronze and you might just change your mind.

She says of the little Easter chicks, “Those chickens have a sort of blankness that allows almost any emotion to be projected on them. They will take on anger, happiness, sadness, envy. It’s amazing how much emotion can be projected on
to a pile of chenille, two beads and some pipe cleaner.” Brilliant.
