The route to vintage cool

26 Jan

Every now and then you stumble across things and think ‘oooh’. These vintage destination boards are such items. Technically not the most practical things (unless you have a bus you’re planning on driving round London) but they’re pretty cool all the same. The ones below are from the salvage store Metro Retro but I’ve seen similar on ebay recently. Just search for ‘routemaster’ or ‘bus blind’ – if you’re very lucky you might be able to bag one with all the tourist site names on it.

I’ve recently bought a couple of these bus blinds – Richmond for my son and Arsenal football ground for my husband – from an internet company called http://www.londonbusblinds.com and they do look stunning and of course quite a conversation piece.

You could also try http://www.britishbusblinds.com also. I got one from them, they were helpful and friendly.

Leave a little love...
