Weddingnesday… a dreamy theme

20 Jan

How beautiful are all these photos by Lola’s Room? I’m in love…

Wouldn’t they make for the most gorgeous, dreamy wedding theme?

I’m especially falling head over heads for the scrabble letters and penguin books… oh, and the Polaroid camera, and the teacups, and… well all of it really!

P.S. Meeting my first potential wedding photographer on Saturday – and even though we’re still no further on deciding on a venue (why is it so hard?) – it’s beginning to feel like we’re some progress. Yippee!

Happy Weddingnesday everyone xx

Are you looking for venues in Edinburgh? I was looking for a while for contemporary spaces to hire there for my wedding and liked the voodoo rooms, dovecot studio http://www.heritageportfolio.co.uk/venues/dovecot_studios/ and there’s also a new place opening called GRV which might be cool http://thegrv.com/. Have ended up in Argyll but thought I’d share my research!

Thanks for the tips Kiara… we are indeed looking at venues in Edinburgh (also Glasgow and Perthshire too). Any shared research is fine by me 😉

Have you thought/looked at registars at Leith Library? Also my friend’s husband is an amazing wedding photographer. If you’d like details I’ll check here for a response. Jo x

We had a “the one” experience when we found our venue – much more than when i found my dress. Got our first photographer appointment tomorrow. Hope your appointment goes well.

Wow those photos are beautiful. I’m intrigued though, how would you turn them into a wedding theme?

    • Conversation Pieces 21/01/2010 at 4:46 PM #

Hmm, good question… I was thinking scrabble letter invites, everything served in vintage china, records played on old record players, balloons and blossoms to decorate the place, and quotes from our favourite books scattered about, and polaroid cameras on every table… or something like that! 😉

very pretty. love the scrabble letters. the would be pretty cool as little captions around a reception like if there was a dessert table and one said ‘eat me’ or something! hope all goes well on saturday xx

thanks for the link- such lovely photo’s! i love the scrabble letters. I have bluetacked ‘welcome’ to my front door and they hold very well- so maybe you could bluetack some sweet messages on the entry door or walls or behind a desert table or something?
