Monday’s giveaway… Miso Funky

6 Sep

Back in May 2009, I blogged (twice) about how much I loved these uber cool samplers from Miso Funky.

Since then I’ve bought the ‘in case of emergency breakdance’ kit – it seemed appropriate given that my OH’s party piece used to be breakdancing.

(By breakdancing, I mean launching himself towards the floor – at high speed – and usually breaking something, such as a rib or part of his foot!).

Anyway, since I’m huge fan of this emo-broidery, I was delighted when Miso Funky agreed to be part of my blog birthday giveaway!

So here’s what you have to do… Visit Miso Funky, pick what your favorite item is, then come back here and leave me a comment telling me what it is.

The winner will be chosen at random next Monday – and will win their favourite thing. (How cool is that?)

If you’re one of my Facebook fans, you can also leave your comment there. Follow me on twitter? You get an extra vote for tweeting about the giveaway!

Good luck everyone!

So the OH wrote all your names on post-stick notes for me…

And we popped them into our popcorn bowl…

Then I did some shuffling…

And the OH made fun of my shuffling technique…

And then some choosing… turns out post-stick notes stick together when folded so this was harder to open than expected!

That’s my ‘oooh, we have a winner’ expression…

And the winner is Holly June… if you can’t read my OH’s handwriting!

Holly June wins her favourite item: ‘the “What Would Nigella Do?” plaque because obviously she’d just bung it all in a bowl and look sexy. A good way to live I think!’

Well done!

Ohh ohhh such a good site!! I heart hannah zakari too! So excited for your give aways missus 😀 On the miso site I got all excited over the sublime stitching craft pad, but its sold out 😦 I have bought a whole load of embroidary threads and tapestry needles, and cross stitch wheels and materials in the house but I havent got round to properly making something yet 😦 So annoyed with myself! Miso is making me want to get my bum into gear again! xx

  17. Sarah 06/09/2010 at 3:43 PM #

  18. loobyroux 06/09/2010 at 3:48 PM #

  20. Rebecca 06/09/2010 at 4:32 PM #

It would have to be the ‘what would delia do’ sampler for me, because it is the question I ask myself all too often.

  21. Sian 06/09/2010 at 5:42 PM #

Hi! I found your blog whilst voting in the cosmo blog awards – it’s lovely! My fave miso funky piece is the ‘now wash your hands’ sampler as my bathroom is looking a bit bland and this would make a statement (and make people wash their hands hopefully) x

  22. Patchwork Harmony 06/09/2010 at 5:48 PM #

Hi Zoe! My fave is the make tea not war mug… Such a good philosophy! X x

  23. Danae 06/09/2010 at 7:43 PM #

  25. domestikate84 06/09/2010 at 9:01 PM #

Oh my goodness, how exciting. And it’s so hard to choose! I think I’d have to go for either the ‘make tea not war’ mug OR the ‘what would delia do’ sampler. You choose, I can’t!

  26. Simon 06/09/2010 at 9:02 PM #

Lovely site, i have the Make Tea Not War sampler already and love that. Would say the Make tea…mug would be my next fave item. 🙂

Tweeted about comp on Twitter as well.

  27. Dee 06/09/2010 at 9:29 PM #

I’ve been coveting “What would Delia do?” for a while. Maybe if it was hanging in my kitchen, I would ask myself questions before trying to defrost a freezer with a hammer and screwdriver. I’m sure that’s not how Delia does it.

  28. Gillian Boyle 07/09/2010 at 8:44 AM #

ooh this is a tough call but I think the ‘be nice or go home’ sampler wins it with me

  29. Lisa-Marie 07/09/2010 at 8:51 AM #

  30. Lisa 07/09/2010 at 9:09 AM #

Well it’s taken me ages to choose but finally I settled on the ‘Be Nice or Go Home’ sampler 🙂

  32. hollyjune 07/09/2010 at 10:13 AM #

I love the “What Would Nigella Do?” plaque because obviously she’d just bung it all in a bowl and look sexy. A good way to live I think!

  33. Lucyup 07/09/2010 at 4:14 PM #

Well, the Weak Tea Weak Mind mug set I think, to share with my old uni friends, to remind us of our student diet of strong tea and ‘value’ biscuits.

  34. Irit 07/09/2010 at 5:10 PM #

    The Robot Love Emobroidery Sampler!

  35. Gila (11m2) 07/09/2010 at 9:44 PM #

I sooo want the Be Nice or Go Home sampler! Would be perfect just next to my entrance. 🙂

  36. Dannii Collinge 07/09/2010 at 10:28 PM #

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ‘Abandon Shoes…’ sampler, it reminds me and my sister of the feeling we get when we go to my aunts house… A never-ending stream of shoeless tea, kisses and ‘… So when are we going to see you in a White dress?’

  37. Jenny Pratt 08/09/2010 at 9:18 AM #

Defo the Weak Tea, Weak Mind Mug, for someone in my household! Think its brilliant, lots of lovely stuff on there.

  38. Ilana 08/09/2010 at 10:57 AM #

What an amazing give away!!!!! I think I could wet my pants just a little if I won this one! Oh oh oh so many to choose from, but I think my favourites are the “fawn and doe” or the “in case of an emergency brew up” 🙂

    Fingers crossed!

  39. Fiona 08/09/2010 at 8:55 PM #

I didn’t even have to think about this one – Weak Tea Weak Mind sampler every time! What a lovely comp x

  40. mysparethoughts 08/09/2010 at 9:04 PM #

Think it would need to be the Abandon shoes – because when I finally get new carpets I might get a little (lot) obsessive about people taking their shoes off.

  41. Di Coke 09/09/2010 at 9:59 AM #

I love postcards, so my fave thing would have to be the Seaside postcards (set 1). They’re fab!

  42. Jo Orr 09/09/2010 at 10:30 AM #

    OMG – I’m still giggling… a family in-joke means I’d have to choose merry f***ing Christmas sampler – epic!

  43. Nell 09/09/2010 at 11:45 PM #

I love the Silhouettes Tapestry Kit and the idea of making a cushion out of it. So cute and funky!

  48. Jane Sommerville 11/09/2010 at 4:08 PM #

Great giveaway – thank you Zoe. My favourite has to be the fawn and does cross-stich kit. Love anything with a deer on it (or a squirrel, or a horse). I’m off back to the site now to make up my Santa list. Thanks again!

  49. Reidunn 12/09/2010 at 5:19 PM #

The ‘In Case Of Emergency Breakdance Tote Bag’ is my favorite item, but it seems like it is sold out. Therefore mye choice has to be the ‘In Case Of Emergency Breakdance Sampler’ in a gold frame.

  50. Kate 13/09/2010 at 9:09 AM #

The I heart tea mini sampler is adorable and very appropriate for me!

  51. Julie robertson 13/09/2010 at 9:29 AM #
